Let Me Die Yesterday

When hired to trace a village girl who went missing in the 1960s, London-based private investigator Gerry McCabe anticipates an early end to his assignment with the discovery of female remains. Instead, it plunges McCabe into the dark and hostile labyrinths of rural life. Intent on mending his broken marriage, he is distracted by the vivacious Beth Merrill—the missing girl's sister—and the alluring widow Sharee Bucholz. Unwittingly causing a local tragedy, a distraught McCabe struggles to continue his investigation and resolve his own relationship difficulties. But can he succeed on either case?
