Lady and the Prysmadian Star Invasion

Star system after star system had fallen before the mighty Prysmadian Star Invasion. Now Earth was their next target. The fate of the planet may well rest upon a decision of whether or not to get rid of the campus mascot--a cocker spaniel named, Lady--in this short story by Jacob Hall. Two cafeteria workers, a handful of custodians, an overly ambitious student regent and the bored student body of Midwestern Missouri University must band together to save Lady and unknowingly play their part in repulsing the invasion force.
