The first book of the Koschei Trilogy depicts a young and neglected, Alex Campbell, who lives in the small village of Kaslo in southern British Columbia, which unknowingly dwells among fantasies and myths. These are reborn when he discovers hidden powers that may or may not destroy the world. It is up to him along with his three best friends, Leon, Amanda and Kasen, and his Protector, Serge, to choose a path to follow. Little do they know, everything that occurs is predestined and the world they seemingly try to save may just be an illusion set up for a greater ruin.
