Killer Caramel Pie

A DARKLY DELICIOUS TALE BY CAROLYN Q. HUNTER!!!New Year's Eve is fast approaching in Culver's Hood and, thanks to Detective Harry Mannor, pie shop owner Bertha Hannah has been invited to attend one of the largest parties of the season, which is being held at the mayor's penthouse. Bert has her reservations about having to dress up and break bread with the city's most well to-do citizens, but decides to go to the party anyway. Tragedy strikes when a fellow partygoer falls over the fifteenth story balcony, but Bert is convinced that the resulting death was no accident. She's positive that foul play was involved, and is frustrated when no one else seems to believe her.
