Kat and the Emperor's Gift

Kat and her aunt Jessie travel back to thirteenth-century China. In short order, they meet the explorer Marco Polo and the warrior-emperor Kublai Khan.

But not everyone welcomes the two travelers. Their arrival sets off a power struggle in the Khan's court. Caught in the middle is Kat's new friend, Princess Cocachin. It seems she's going to be forced to marry a man she fears.

Kat and Jessie must find a way to help the princess. And they must solve another problem. For the Khan has forbidden Marco to leave China. Yet Kat knows that the history books say he returned to Europe at this time.

It's up to Kat and Jessie to set things right. Otherwise, they may be guilty of changing the course of history!
