Just Sketching

Two months into the new school year, Sheryl Williams walks with her sketchpad while fading into the walls of Wingate High School. When Sheryl meets Karen "Nlijah" Kazee, a "cool" yet friendly college art major, at the local Laundromat, she senses a kindred spirit who just may be able help her find her way out of oblivion. But in the wee morning hours, Nlijah's building goes up in flames. And Nlijah's building is not the only one! Who is burning Brooklyn? Just Sketching is the arson-mystery sequel to the civil rights classic Freedom Songs with Sheryl and friends sleuthing out the burning of buildings in their Brooklyn neighborhood in 1964.
