About This Book

Dan Neumann Murder Series – On a beautiful summer morning in rural Mora, Minnesota, a crop duster spots something in the ditch he never expected to see – a naked body lying neatly in a ditch between two new home building sites. The county sheriff investigates and is stumped by the extraordinarily violent death of the local woman. Knowing he's in over his head, he calls his old friend, semi-retired homicide investigator, Dan Neumann.

Dan and Arizona investigator Maria Fernandez, his almost fiancée, rush to help Dan's former mentor. As the facts emerge, Maria remembers an unsolved Arizona homicide with many similarities, including dog hair found near both bodies. It could be a coincidence but no good cop believes in coincidences.

With no leads and few clues, when someone mentions a nearby dog show was being held at the time of the murder Dan calls his lifelong buddy, Pete Anderson, a veteran dog show participant, for help. When the two cases are linked, Dan knows he has to bring in his frenemy, FBI Special Agent Will Sanford. Soon the team is working a Major Case involving murders stretching back more than a decade.

Knowing the team is closing in on him, the killer taunts Dan with gruesome messages and begins to strike more frequently, an indication that he may be moving toward the typical serial killer climax – a mass murder. They know they will get him but how many innocent victims will die before they do?
