Joseph Gallo and Artie Adler are old friends, so when Joseph's grandson Chris seems to be getting into trouble, Artie tails him. The news isn't good. It looks like Chris is in with the mob. It's bad enough that Chris' dad was killed in a collateral mob hit, but this kind of thing will kill his mother. Joseph's daughter-in-law Mary already hates him, holding him responsible for the death of her husband.While Joseph and Mary harangue each other over past guilt, Chris himself is just trying to stay clear of his relatives. He's working to bring down the crime family he holds responsible for the murder of his father. Now he finds himself driving for Rapino, a mafia hit man. Between Rapino and his family-between a killer and those nearest and dearest-Chris has to use all his wits just to stay ahead of having his cover blown. But Joseph is one stubborn man, and nothing is going to keep him from following his grandson to turn him away from a life of organized crime.
