It's Comic-Al! Comics by Students at Alice Ott Middle School

IT’S COMIC-AL! is an anthology of work created by a large after-school class in Winter, 2016 at Portland, Oregon’s Alice Ott Middle School. Alice Ott is a gigantic school with a huge student bodyâ€"it seems more like a small city, especially when that final school bell rings and the hall is full of students... all headed for that front door! Almost all... with the exception of the group of young creators who hung around after school to make comicsâ€"some of them for the very first time. There are some playful and clever moments in this anthologyâ€"proof that 21st-century thinking about comics has not gone stale. A lot of this work shows great promise, and I hope these young creative minds will continue to work in the medium of comics.
