Homicide Detective, Erica Barnes, leads the investigation into the most brutal serial murders in Indianapolis history.  Once the FBI is alerted, Erica finds there are a string of similar murders in four states from Wyoming to Indiana. The FBI feels they know who he is, but fear he may have altered his appearance.

The killer leaves pleas for attention at each crime scene, but it isn't until he decides to plead to be stopped that he focuses his attention on Erica.

As she learns more about the suspect and the horrors he once faced, she finds herself empathizing with him. However, she can't let her guard down. She must find a way to stop him before he permanently stops her.
