About This Book

Civil servant Jonathan Gaunt is summoned to Scotland by the Queen's and Lord Treasurer's Remembrancer, who asks him to go to Iceland to quietly sell some shares for the Crown. He explains that spinster Violet Douglas had recently died, leaving her entire estate to the Queen. Unfortunately, the bequest included a half-share in an Icelandic air freight company, which was a suspected front for an illegal bootlegging operation! But on arrival at his Reykjavik hotel, Gaunt receives mysterious threats and soon he finds his life is in danger...
