About This Book
It is an age of fire, war, brutality, and ancient magic. A wizard named Ottin'bar is rallying his troops to carve out a kingdom for his own pleasures. Three men are on a collision course with his ambitions; Grimface the wizard, and Benhargan and Bulvife the two Cimmerian rangers. One problem, Ottin'bar is powerful, but the man suffers from arrogance, and that is a weakness.
Grimface, Benhargan, and Bulvife must seek out the last pieces of an ancient magic amulet that holds the power of a god-king. Only Grimface knows its use, and once at his command, it will be the instrument of Ottin'bar's undoing. But, many dangers lurk in the lands of Hyboria, and if Ottin'bar falls, Grimface still has tasks the gods will see him complete, to his own chagrin.
Though two books chronicle this epic adventure of barbarians and wizards, there may still yet be a story to be told, when all is said and done. In a land of fire and war, and brutality, where ancient magic lurks in the vaults of the dead, or around the necks of kings and lords, three men still are just pawns of the gods.
