During his lifetime, the Marquis de Sade--and his perverse tastes--were infamous throughout France. Pain and pleasure were one to him. Other people existed only to satisfy his wants and desires. Today very little has changed. The Marquis still uses people to feed his needs, only now his needs include blood. For the Marquis de Sade still lives...as a master vampire.

Sade has returned to his beloved Paris, city of lights--and of darkness. But it is a city being slowly drained of blood, and not only by Sade. An unknown killer stalks the streets, leaving in his wake a string of nearly bloodless bodies. Could this be the work of a rogue vampire? Sade has no choice but to team with an old enemy to find the answers. But who would dare incur the wrath of the Marquis de Sade?
