Edgar Beever's quirk is that he promptly reimagines events he sees in altered, usually odder and funnier versions.Russell Gray has invented a program that lets him see both of those versions as they occur inside Ed's intact head on his laptop's monitor from a distance using only a moldified video camera.Wealthy, wacky, and unconstrained Virginia Awfler wants Gray's system that she thinks will let her see the thoughts of anyone else at any time .Then she want's Ed's head - preferably detached - when she concludes that the special stuff might be in there, not in the computer.With two bodyguards doing much of what she orders, a relative who hopes to inherit Awfler Futures Await or AFA, all the older woman owns , and a hired spy with her own agenda , Ms. Awfler sets out to get all she wants with no intent of letting any of the others block her.So of necessity they all try in their own ways.
