Illicit

Illicit is a crime story that takes place in Columbia, South Carolina. A private investigator named Lou Delveccio is hired to find out if the wife of a local lawyer is having an affair. The investigator, the best in the state, stumbles upon a drug distribution outlet within the higher social strata of the capital city. He takes a picture of a group of ladies having lunch. He is unaware of the importance of the digital image. Delveccio is severely assaulted, and his secretary/girlfriend is killed by cartel drug thugs in their attempt to retrieve the photo. The investigation of that murder and assault is assigned to the Irish Duo (Detectives Kevin Riley and Walter Murphy). The case takes many intriguing twists and turns. It leads to a drug intervention, a hostage situation and murder on the high seas.
