Ill Will

A quiet, hot day is shattered by the sounds from a high powered rifle. This is a story about a murder that takes place in a small southern town located a few miles from the capital city of Columbia, South Carolina. It is the first murder ever recorded in the town and it is a double homicide at that. Two well liked town maintenance workers are ambushed and shot down in cold blood. A seasoned investigator is placed in charge of the investigation and a young deputy is assigned to the case. The seeds of hatred are sown at a very early age and its consequences are finally manifested in a brutal crime. It becomes evident that ill will can reside in the heart of the killer and those called upon to enforce the law.
