After a rising social media star emerges from a condemned house in Washington, DC with her face half-skinned, her attacker broadcasts the horror, calling himself Mr. Hyde. She is the first victim. While Detective Erin Prince and her partner rush to find him, Hyde taunts Erin, revealing an emaciated captive in a giant cage—his caged bird. Erin is thrust into a wicked game with a calculating killer who, enraged by phony social media personas, partially skins the face of his victims to "unmask" the ugly soul beneath a pretty surface. Obsessed with saving the caged bird's life, the closer Erin gets to the truth, the more dangerous Mr. Hyde becomes. Somehow, Erin must find and stop Hyde—before he seeks to unmask her.
