Yenrab the Half-Orc is a simple folk-hero, an every-man's orc, the kind of guy who giggles when he farts and is a friend to all who will have him. His tribe is not. And neither is Gharag, that dark god that warned him away from the sparkling tome and its contents.

Now he's an orc on the run, a figure whose good heart and dirty backside can't help but slip into trouble again and again as he meets a variety of sloppy wise-cracking figures and adopts them as his comrades at arms. With Tracy the hippie half-elf at his side, and the self-deprecating bard Carric staying desperately away from his rear, Yenrab and his comrades face fate, destiny, and the will of the gods.

Can the trio cheat fate and defeat destiny? Or will they all fall to the dark god and burn for eternity?
