House on the Hill (70,938 words) This is the combined stories of four separate women. One: a city girl thrust into a world where the pampered conveniences of normal life just are not there. Two: a promiscuous woman who suddenly finds herself in love with the local Baptist minister and in uncharted territory with her heart. Three: an abused runaway teen girl fleeing the wrath of her drunken father and finding a life with people who need her as much as she needs them. And four: the spirit of a woman who resides in the house on the hill faithfully waiting for her husband to return from the war. Yes, this is a ghost story.
