Sarah Greene almost lost her life recently. Determined to get past her trauma, she agrees to use her psychic talents to investigate a series of accidents at a women's shelter. A young resident, the victim of domestic abuse, is her starting point. But a dark spiral begins immediately.

The accidents in the shelter escalate. Some are horrifying, and Sarah realizes the explanation can only be demonic possession. Something frightens her even more, though.

A festering evil infests the entire town. Everything is more connected than it seems, including Sarah's own trauma. Some call the malevolent presence The Darkness. It has no face. It drives its victims mad. It is everywhere.
