Jack Shoultz, the red-eyed Nephilim who works as a deputy sheriff in rural Tennessee, takes on the meth trade and the child traffickers as he struggles with his inner demons. But he has help: a bat-girl who can see ahead for him and spot danger, and a mysterious lady in red with an agenda all her own.
Meanwhile, the FBI has taken an interest in the Nephilim, or Horned Jack, and threatens to put an end to his activities. For Horned Jack, if it isn't one thing, it's another.
