About This Book

When Joe and Louise O'Connor move into their new home in the quaint coastal town of Bayberry, Long Island, they feel as though it is a dream come true. But soon Louise begins to suspect that Bayberry is a town of secrets, zealously guarded by the powerful Village Council. After receiving a cryptic warning that stirs her curiosity about Bayberry, her persistent inquiries uncover a series of disappearances centered on a secluded cove near her home. Louise discovers that the disappearances stretch back to the town's earliest days and have never been adequately explained, and that facts and circumstances have been covered up by the Village Council. Patrolled and protected by the mysterious Bay Constable, the cove hides the key to Bayberry's sinister past, one involving unnatural visitors that hold the town and its citizens in a state of unending terror. When the disappearances continue and residents are savagely attacked by unknown predators, Louise alone is willing to undertake the task of uncovering Bayberry's secret. At the same time she learns something about herself, something which puts her at risk both for her safety and her sanity.
