Heist Along the Rails

Jan Cerney returns to AQS with the first installment of her new series. The Winslow Chronicles. The trouble all started when spinster sisters, Dora and Josie Winslow, decided to help their quilt guild. After much deliberation, the Hedge City Nebraska Quilt Guild decides that their sampler theme for the year will be to make a quilt out of fifty blocks representing every state in the USA. Although the members can obtain the patterns without any trouble, the sisters volunteer to search for appropriate quilt patterns while on their retirement train trip across the country. However, after their first stop in Chicago, Dora learns that an art museum where they visited has been robbed of a painting. When similar robberies happen in other cities the sisters have just visited, they start to become suspicious of their fellow train passengers. But who among the passengers are the actual thieves and who are the people the sisters can actually trust?
