About This Book

The wind in Headhunter is a chilling one, and Arnold Landon may require a good deal more than archeological know-how in solving a case that could quite literally be the death of him. Here, the headless torso of a child has been fished out of the Tyne. The police can neither identify the corpse nor discover a motive for the gruesome, perhaps ritualistic killing, although they have reason to suspect it might be connected to a network of pedophiles. So it is that the constabulary launches Operation Headhunter, which comes to the attention of Interpol—and a bizarre case of murder becomes a hunt for a serial killer. Arnold doesn't need to further complicate his life with an official murder investigation. His work at the burial site of an ancient Roman chariot is already running short on time and money, and tensions among his colleagues are beginning to mount. He is nonetheless unwittingly drawn into the case when, by error, he comes into possession of a file filled with pornographic material. Unwittingly, too, he is drawn into the path of a ruthless killer and is ultimately lured to an ancient burial site, where Arnold may find a grave all his own.
