Harbinger

After the death of their parents, and without implanted microchips to identify them, Matra and her band of friends are fugitives, hiding in the dark, abandoned tunnels below the city where they were raised in secret.



Matra has never ventured outside the safety of her parent's home; for her entire life, she's known only the few people in her tiny group, including the man she is all but betrothed to. But as days bleed into weeks underground, the group is faced with loss, fear and betrayal as they search for a way to escape discovery--and gain the chance to lead a normal life. To succeed in their search could be dangerous; to fail would mean the end of everything.



Confronted with the truth of her partner's character, and faced with a decision she never expected to make, Matra is thrust upon a path she can scarcely believe until it's staring at her with wide eyes.
