In a post post-apocalyptic world, a thousand years after the rebuilding of civilization, the empire of Vakia has overrun the small country of Laurelia. The Vakian army, led by the ruthless and egotistical general Jared Rath, believes that no one in Laurelia can oppose them. They're right, for a while. Then she appears.
