About This Book
Fighting evil corporations has never been so much fun. In H2Glo, Bailey Quinn, a gutsy young lawyer for the Fink Environmental Foundation, spends most of her time trying to keep her environmental zealot boss out of jail. When Ruth Fink dies suddenly of a heart attack, Bailey is appointed Executive Director. She soon finds herself thrust into a working relationship with the new President of the foundation, Ruth’s stockbroker son Morgan. Bailey is a cycling, recycling, environmentalist with a shoe addiction. Morgan drives a monster SUV and makes millions managing stock portfolios.
After a hostile takeover of tiny water filter company, H2Glo, nasty agribusiness giant GMO Inc. opens an ‘environmentally unfriendly’ bottled water division. When Tim Mallory, the founder of H2Glo, rejects the plan, he’s fired by GMO executive, Dave Doyle. Tim shows up at the foundation with a sample of the bottled water that’s contaminated with pesticides and enough low-level radiation to light up a Christmas tree. After leaking the information to the media, he disappears.
Meanwhile, unpopular foundation staffer, Sequoia Watson is tased at a sit-in in an apple tree on Birdbrain Island. The local media pick up the story and within a couple of days every media outlet in the country is skewering the police for attacking an innocent environmentalist. A few days after receiving a huge settlement, Sequoia is found murdered.
When the only thing the two events have in common is Dave Doyle, the sleazy executive from GMO Inc., Bailey and Morgan are on the case to find Tim, catch a murderer and stop an evil corporation from shipping millions of bottles of contaminated bottled water to unsuspecting customers. Solving mysteries and drinking bottled water will never be the same. H2Glo is the first of the Bailey Quinn Bathtub Series.
