About This Book

Author Kallie Lane's, Grave Compulsion, is one of the best thrillers I've read in a long, long time. The plotting is superb. The pacing is on point, and the imagery and characterization only added to a page-turning story I didn't want to end. I highly recommend this! Sharon Sala - author of the Jigsaw Files series What happens when the bodies in graveyards are piling up, you're tracking the killer when you're arrested for murder? He couldn't save his client-she died in his bed... JACK MURPHY has a problem: someone wants him behind bars for a crime he didn't commit. A self-employed security expert, he sifts through clues to catch a murderer no one else believes exists. Staying one step ahead of a vengeful police chief, he must prove his innocence before the victim's sister hammers the last nail in his judicial coffin. The race to prove his innocence could backfire... When police chief PEPPER DUGAN leaves Gretna, Louisiana for Sanibel Island and Fort Myers, Florida, she is determined to catch her sister's killer. There is only one suspect, the case appears to be open-and-shut, and she wants him to pay. Still, something nags at her; the clues laid out like breadcrumbs cause her to second guess his guilt. Could a man so skilled at protecting others make so many mistakes, or is he being set up? Forced together by murder, Pepper and Jack must delve into the twisted mind of a serial killer before the body count rises. With their own lives hanging in the balance, they race to catch a predator before his net closes around them.
