Loralin Robbins' two passions in life are solving mysteries and being involved with her grandparent's old inn.  Following her divorce from Elk River PD's Detective Miles Robbins, her life is void of mysteries but after her grandparent's passings, she inherits the inn.Just days before the grand opening of the fully refurbished and newly named Robbins Nest Inn, the manager runs off leaving Loralin wondering what else will go wrong.
