Three Rivers Academy is known as the premier training academy for aspiring mages in the Inland Empire. Students travel from all reaches of the four empires to learn in its hallowed halls under the tutelage of the learned Magi. In this esteemed facility, students can learn how to grow and develop their magical abilities... assuming they live that long. The Grand Coven, little more than rumors and frightening tales to scare the incoming students, is much more real than most of the residents believe, as Ahna knows far too well. They are the reason she has been sent to learn at Three Rivers Academy, far from her homeland, where nobody knows who she truly is. Information about her family could threaten the future of an entire empire. When she digs too deeply, determined to find out how deep the roots of the Grand Coven go, she comes closer to the mysterious and dangerous group than she ever wanted to be, far too close for safety.
