About This Book

Graces' childhood was spent living with her grandparents on a farm in the country which consisted of sixty-five acres and trails throughout the woods that her grandfather had created so they could hike, camp, and enjoy nature. Grace would wake up in early mornings to find little gifts such as beautiful quartz stones, small vintage toys, hair bows and so on, on the step of their porch. Her grandma would say, Well, look what they've brought you now, Grace! Grace never could find out who they were. Her grandmother and grandfather would never outright tell her. They'd only say, the woods people. Her grandparents passed away after she became an adult and met who she thought was her love in life. Grace's grandma had warned her that the man she was marrying was up to no good, but Grace became angry and hurt her grandma's feelings. The guilt ate Grace up now. Her grandma had been right. Mike was nothing but a cheating mean-hearted man and Grace realized her grandma had been able to read him right and tried to protect her. Now it was too late. Grace's grandparents had left her the farm and she accepted it, gladly.
