Gone In a Minute

When Cassie Damerall, an eighteen-year-old student at the local junior college, disappears on her way to class, there is no shortage of suspects, thanks to Springfield's social media. Sheriff Daniel Barrett must investigate each tip reported by the local residents, but he soon realizes that Cassie's abduction might be far more complicated than he first thought. Hundreds of volunteers spread out across the countryside searching for any evidence that might lead them to Cassie. When a strip of cloth that might be part of her underpants is discovered near a logging road, speculation runs wild, with fingers pointed at many of Cassie's friends. As the investigation drags on, Barrett hopes for the best, but realizes that he must consider the unthinkable.
