Gilgamesh

Before there was Beowulf; before there was King Arthur; before there were Odysseus or Perseus, there was Gilgamesh. Part God, Part Man, and destined from birth to be the ruler of Sumeria, Gilgamesh:The Sumerian King is the first in a trilogy of books that details the exploits and adventures of the oldest epic ever written by man. Gilgamesh is a powerful, but cruel ruler of Sumeria. The people of Sumeria cry out to the Gods for relief, and the Gods send a challenger, in the form of a powerful wild man of the forest.
