About This Book

All the days I had spent with Roman, I had never imagined that it would be Roman that I wanted by my side.  It was ridiculous that a meek Citian could capture the attention of such a strong Xiena. It was Roman who had pointed me in the right direction to learn how to not be helpless and pathetic, aided me in discovering the strength within me, and allowed me to find confidence in myself.  But, as with everything in life, tribulations abound.I was so tiny in the world of the Xiena.  I could not move quick enough, I wasn't strong enough, and I had never learned how to survive on my own, let alone in the forest.  I had survived so far, although not unscathed, and I was well aware that it was only because of Roman's own volition that I was able to walk away from the Lasglow. I knew from experience that Tramm was going to hunt us down. I wanted to believe that Roman had taught him a lesson he'd never forget, but I understood that Tramm wasn't going to leave us alone until he had the victory he wanted. I wasn't sure how far we'd get or when Tramm would find us, but I knew that he would, and I knew that Roman would continue to protect me. What I didn't know, was if I would survive in a world where a person could become a beast.
