Ghost hunter Meredith Good was getting used to being back in her small hometown, Silver Bells Cove, Ohio. The most serious things she's had to deal with the past few months were hauntings and things that go bump in the night. That she could handle. But when a popular stage magician has a surprise show in the small town and then ends up dead, small town life is about to get a lot more complicated. Not only will Meredith have to convince the local sheriff that she's not crazy, but she'll also have to deal with friends and family that are keeping secrets from her. Then there's Kane Xavier, the PI that left an impression on her. He wants more than Meredith's friendship but Meredith is not so sure she's ready for all that. Her life was complicated enough without getting into romantic entanglements. She's been there and done that, so what was the use? By the time the identity of the killer is revealed, many dark secrets will come into the light. The only question that remains is who will stay standing in the end, and who won't be so lucky.
