Ghost School

Four novellettes, drawn in the shojo manga style, a stylistic departure from Horror Master Hino. Hino juxtaposes the innocence and beauty of youth with the evil and ugliness that lurks down every dark alley, within every deep forest, and at the bottom of every crazed soul. His talent to frighten and disturb his readers remains unchanged. The stories concern promising young girls on the threshhold of womanhood--but they fall prey to one evil after another. A beautiful girl turns old and haggard overnight; another becomes a victim of a dead, murderous teacher; another is tormented by an obsessive suitor; others discover that their own close friends are not who they thought them to be. This is the first in a two-book set.
