Gallows Ascending

Continues the saga of tracker and visionary Luke Stone thirteen years later. Luke's wife Consuelo, whom he met in the desert, has died, and Luke is in exile in the seaside town of New Camen, NH. Shattering his solitude comes Beth Rutledge. Accused of the murder of her daughter, stripped of her medical license, her marriage to politician Adrian Mountzaire in tatters, Beth is haunted nightly by the vision of a young woman's brutal hanging.
