About This Book
Karl Rowland was forced to make a split-second decision when he saw his friend was in danger. He hadn't even been back to his favorite city for very long and already things were starting to go wrong. Saving that friend results in two homicide detectives who are rapidly closing in on not only where he is, but who he is, a secret that he has kept hidden for a very long time. Forced to take extreme measures to survive, he decides to step up his game, but ardently refuses to leave behind the little empire that he has just started to build.
While attempting to keep a low profile at a local bar that he frequents, Karl overhears some of his fellow patrons discuss current events such as the rise of radical Islam, immigration, the problems inherent with the mainstream news media, and how a politically incorrect screenwriter sitting nearby is planning on making a documentary regarding these issues; all the while they remain utterly clueless and unsuspecting of the extremely dangerous man sitting next to them. Feeling out of touch and isolated, Karl keeps his head down and tries to remain unnoticed, which is getting harder and harder for him to do as the many years go by.
With the detectives rapidly starting to understand just who and what he really is, they are beginning to learn how he operates. And this time, the lead detective is smarter and far more capable than anyone that he has ever gone up against before.
Smart, funny and fast-paced, Five Nights in Harlem is sure to keep the reader entertained from beginning to end.
