Even now, as a grown woman and Private Investigator, Tori still wears the inscribed heart-shaped necklace she and Aubrey each wore as children.
When Tori and her partner, Ben, agree to help a client find his missing daughter, no one could ever have imagined the strange turn of events that would follow. Not only do Tori and Ben find the young woman they were hired to find, they also discover three other female victims who fit the pattern of a serial killer the FBI has been searching for.
Finding the four women, however, isn't the most shocking part of their discovery. It's when the spirits of the dead women begin talking to Tori that the strangeness begins and she discovers a new-found ability that her mother shares, but has spent her entire life trying to hide.
As the victims spirits help Tori and the FBI uncover clues in identifying their killer, they reveal details about another one of his victims from ten years earlier, a young girl wearing a heart-shaped necklace with the inscription, 'Always Sisters, Forever Friends'.
Tori knows she has no choice but to find out if that girl is her sister, even if it means risking her own life in the process.
