Fire Maiden

Fire Maiden, the second book in the popular Maiden Series, centers around Kefira Knight, a nine-hundred-year-old gargoyle and ex-warrior for God, who has opened a present-day bodyguard agency with her three sisters. The ancient Paladin, Dagan, who chose duty over Kefira's love centuries earlier, shows up on her doorstep near death after being attacked by mysterious crossbreeds and the gargoyles are embroiled in a fresh round of biblical prophesy.
