NOTE: mature language and content. After a crazy summer of old love, new love, and a whole lot of murder, Bernice Hordstrom has had enough of dead people. Needless to say, she is less than thrilled when she and her aunt, Darlene, find not one but two suspicious graves on the abandoned farm out in the boonies. Conspicuously absent, SAC Evan Wyatt has his hands full with the mysterious disappearance of a college coed at UW Platteville. Meanwhile, the memory of an escaped fugitive continues to cloud Bernice and Agent Wyatt's relationship with doubt and suspicion. And the harder Bernice tries to stay out of trouble, the more her innate need to find out the truth draws her in until all of their lives are changed forever.
