About This Book

Princess Rapture and Bubbles Bannatyne had become good friends in their first year at Miss Plazenby's Extremely Exclusive Seminary for Girls so that come the summer holidays the princess, being heir to the crystal throne of the Highly Romantic Winkel of Xenia, invited her friend to spend an unusual snowy summer in the frozen north where lake skating and avalanche races, swoon parties and snowball fights were all the rage. However the princess failed to warn her friend about vampire moths, exploding roses and persistent furrybits that kept ambushing her at every opportunity. Even Arry the pet death spider belonging to Bubbles could not protect her for he suddenly began acting erratically among his giant brethren, the guardians of the kingdom. King Zolid, Rapture's father, to honour the friend of his daughter, resolved to go on a tour of the land in spite of his security chief's misgivings. Rumours of traps planned by a rebellious baron and the seeming restlessness of the death spiders all pointed to a nefarious scheme to overthrow the kingdom. Thus the redheaded and feisty Bubbles found herself caught up in the struggle as she tries to resolve what appeared to be a fatal flaw in the crystal throne.
