Upon receiving an antique book, purportedly written by Ezekiel Sykes, a daemon of Hell, Caleb's life and the lives of those around him change, and not for the better. It's pure coincidence he reasons. There isn't any truth in daemons or angels, his core belief. Though these are his views after reading the early chapters of the journal. Before the turn of the last page, his opinion is radically different.
