Eyes Like Twins

Kimbra was born with golden eyes, a trait believed to belong to a legendary race of winged humans called the aerya. She never really believed the legends, until she stumbles upon the boy with wings.

With wings sprouting from his back, Egan is an anomaly in the human world. For years, he's searched for someone like himself. He's heard the legends and have tracked the aerya in the hopes of finding a place where he belongs. Though Kimbra has no wings of her own, Egan can't deny their eyes are the same.

Together they seek out the aerya's last refuge and discover the fate of those whose eyes reflect the fires burning inside. A fate they, too, will share.
