Eternal River

An all ages (14-up) Fantasy follows James from the eve of his 18th birthday into a surreal twilight zone journey after a fight with his girlfriend and an episode of binge drinking. The next morning he finds himself rescued from a capsized boat and taken aboard a barge, Midnight, headed for the idyllic Port of Jossandra and Great Falls. He and a group of passengers travel through desolate uncharted territory, deal with the villainous stowaway, Snyder, and the healing women at the Port, while being relentlessly pursued by a serpentine river beast, Gargol. James and several companions also search for the lost captain of Midnight, guided part way by a savage man called Bear, and fight for their lives in a subterranean volcanic civilization of barbarians. Their quest and life transforming adventures finally turn to a search for home, aided by Abigail and the women of the Port of Jossandra.
