Escape from Fire Island

Hal Murray, twenty-seven-year-old Iraq veteran and electronics engineer, flees from Los Angeles to Puerto Peñasco, on the Gulf of California, after his fiancée's tragic death. He meets Olivia, a beautiful Mexican girl trapped in the oldest profession under circumstances beyond her control. He frees her from bondage and they move in together. While he fishes on a deserted beach, Ruiz and Ventura, posing as policemen, kidnap him, shanghai him aboard a ship, and take him to Fire Island, where he encounters forces that threaten to destroy him.
