End Times — not as advertised Book 2 of A Great & Continuous Malignancy Four years, and more, have passed since Matt and Jonah left Dilmun. In that time they have crisscrossed America and travelled as far south as Córdoba in pursuit of Zakara Botrous, China Bob, and Matt's daughter – Leonor. All the while the transformation of Humans into Metahumans have been increasing and world governments are attempting to seal up the dimensional rifts, only to have more open. Whole political entities, regions, and continents have either come under threat or fallen to these Metas. Since Dilmun, Matt and Jonah have not come close to retrieving Feargal's family and, now, time is running out. Close on Leonor's fifth birthday she will be used to open a dimensional gateway which will allow the Cinn through. Beyond the death of Leonor, the gateway will initiate an extinction level event for humanity. Everyone but Matt and China are prepared to sacrifice the child for the world, and Feargal sees the sense in this — but her parents refuse to accept this.
