Every thousand years, on the eve of the Millennium, Satan enters the body of a human being and stalks the Earth, searching for the woman who is the key to his kingdom. Christine York, who has been having horrible, unexplained visions for the past twenty-one years of her life, is that woman. If the Prince of Darkness catches up with her in New York City, the door to the underworld will be unlocked and life will be, literally, a living hell.

New Year's Eve: 1999. Jericho Cane is a fallen hero. He's a cop linked to Christine through a recent outbreak of bizarre religious crimes.
