Slick, handsome Fred "Easy" Noggle had financially backstabbed everybody in town.

So when somebody finally killed him, no one cried foul. Except his wife, Dr. Melissa McHagarty, now arrested for the crime. She had every reason to kill her husband and the case against her is airtight. Her only hope is ace trial lawyer Bomber Hanson.

Bomber, however, only takes cases he can win. This one is, well, a loser. His smitten son, Tod, however, works to find evidence to the contrary. Melissa is desperate, but not much help, holding back as many secrets as unshed tears. As a trail of drugs, hit men and scams only weakens Tod's already limited argument, he comes up with a hook that not only lures his father--but baits a killer.
