Bram Stoker's Dracula, first published in 1897, continues to fascinate readers to this day. The novel's centenary was celebrated by an international assembly of scholars in Los Angeles. Elizabeth Miller, organiser of the Acdemic Program, has selected and edited twenty papers for this anthology.

While Dracula - fictional or historical - provides the central focus, this anthology offers the reader a rich diversity of approaches. These include new theories about Stoker's possible sources, explorations of Dracula in the Victorian context, commentaries on the historical Dracula, and fresh interpretations of the novel.
